Challenges to be more sustainable

Reduce scrap at the source
Recycling material has many intrinsic aspects that involve C02 output. Some of these include transportation to and from the recycling plant, the inability to reuse certain materials sent to the plant, as well as the high energy costs of the recycling machines themselves - such as grinders. Reducing scrap at the source eliminates all these negative externalities while keeping the production machine as lean and efficient as possible.
Focus on these 4 key perspectives
1. Schedule colour changes from light to dark to minimise colour contamination within the machine.
2. Place reground scrap into non-essential black parts or for use as a "rinse" material during start-ups.
3. Have a regular maintenance plan to reduce carbon build-up and mid-run contamination.
4. Regularly use a quality commercial purging compound to remove colour and contamination build-up within the machine.
